Whose site is it anyway?
You are building a site for your company, so obviously it has to be your site. But sadly, the most ignored part is that you are creating a website for people to use it, not you. Shockingly, very few people realise this. Many people want their designers to do things that suite their tastes than what people will really love.
What does that mean?
Damage to your business. If people can’t find the order button because of the strange color combination, that is the worst thing you can do to your business. Give your designers some freedom. They know what people like best and that is exactly why they are in business.
How do I know if my designer is good enough?
Ask for the portfolio! If the designer has some decent stuf in his portfolio, he should be good enough. It’s that simple! Once you like the designer’s work sample, just do a Google search for him/the company. It will help you get feedback and review of the designer. And most importantly, ensure that all his designs are original and rip offs.
